  • What you send through our Estate Larder order form: your name, email address, telephone number and delivery address, the hamper and quantity you want, your preferred delivery date, any comments, and, for hampers containing alcohol, your confirmation that you are 18 or over.
  • If you send a hamper as a gift, the recipient’s name and delivery address and your gift message. Please let them know you have given us these details; we use them only to deliver the hamper.

3. How we use your information, and our lawful basis

  • To answer your enquiry and arrange your visit, including fishing, stalking, wildfowling, kit hire, accommodation and crofting matters. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract.

  • We do not use your information for marketing unless you ask us to, and we make no decisions about you by purely automated means.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following organisations, and only as far as each needs it:

  • Resend delivers the enquiry and Estate Larder order forms to the Estate Office’s inbox, so it processes everything you enter in them.
  • The courier who delivers Estate Larder hampers receives the name and delivery address on the order and a contact telephone number, so it can deliver the hamper.
  • Vercel hosts this website, so it processes the technical information every web server receives, such as your IP address and browser type. It also checks that the enquiry and Estate Larder order forms are sent by a person rather than a spam bot, using technical signals from your browser.
  • Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (with Google signals and advertising features switched off), and the map on our contact page, only if you accept all cookies or choose to load the map.
  • Our accommodation partners, the Lochmaddy Hotel and Langass Lodge, but only where you ask us to help arrange a stay with them.
  • Anyone we are required to share it with by law.

Resend, Vercel and Google may process data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the UK–US data bridge or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

5. Cookies

This website sets no analytics or third-party cookies unless you agree to them. For details of the cookies we use and how to change your choice, please see our Cookie Policy.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to two years, so we can answer follow-up questions and help with a future visit. Where you book or order, we keep booking, order and payment records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as tax law requires. Google keeps analytics data for no more than 14 months.

7. Keeping your information safe

This website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and enquiries go straight to the Estate Office’s inbox; they are not stored on the website. Only the people who need your information to deal with your enquiry or booking can see it.
